Elderslie House has been lovingly converted from an old local schoolhouse into a stylish self-contained country house. It can accomodate up to 15 guests and offers a relaxing location for your next visit to Hunter Valley wine country. With six air-conditioned bedrooms and five bathrooms, generous living areas with high ceilings, a wood burning fireplace, refreshing in-ground pool plus a large air-conditioned games room with pool table and table tennis, free WiFi, this two-storey Western Red Cedar property has absolutely everything for a perfect stay. Elderslie House is a 5-minute drive to Pierres and Fairview vineyards and a 10-minute drive to the great restaurants and cellar doors on Wine Country Drive and the famous Vintage Golf Course.

Our Facilities
Elderslie House features French doors that open onto wide wrap around verandahs on both levels with views of the beautiful gardens, pool area and surrounding countryside. The ground floor has a fabulous open plan modern kitchen, dining and sitting area with a large refectory table and a wood burning fire. The master bedroom and main bathroom are also located on the ground floor.
There is a stunning large lounge area on the first floor plus three spacious bedrooms with their own modern ensuites. The other two bedrooms plus the fifth bathroom and laundry are in the studio which is located outside the main house and is accessible via a 2-minute walk under a fully covered walkway. The upstairs lounge area also has a quality sofa bed which can be used for extra guests. All areas and bedrooms have air conditioners for your convenience and year-round comfort.
Elderslie House’s kitchen has every cooking utensil you would ever need to cook up a storm plus a large BBQ on the outside deck. It also has plenty of undercover entertainment areas on the verandahs and the old schoolyard. All areas and bedrooms have air conditioners, making it the perfect location all year round. There is even an enclosed dog run for your furry friend with its own dog house!
The Royal Federal Hotel in Branxton has great pub food and run a shuttle service to and from the property.

Maximum of 16 guests or 12 guests in individual beds.

Kookaburra – one King bed or two King singles with main bathroom next door. We can supply an additional single bed on request. - First Floor
Falcon – one Queen bed with ensuite
Kingfisher – one King bed or two King singles with ensuite
Corella – one King bed or two King singles with ensuite.
A king sofa bed in the lounge (can be split into 2 singles) is available on request - Studio
Rosella – one King bed or two King singles plus a King single with the Studio bathroom
Lorikeet – one Queen bed with the Studio bathroom
We also have baby cots and a high chair available on request.
Floor Plans
Tariff
- Occupancy is calculated on 2 or more guests per bedroom.
- Weekends: minimum of 2 nights, up to 10 guests from $1300 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun).
- Midweek: minimum of 2 nights, up to 10 guests from $950 per night (Mon–Thu).
- Midweek – 1 night, up to 10 guests is $1600.
- Extra guests are charged at $95 per person per night.
- Children under 13 years are charged at $60 per child per night.
- Infants under 2 are free.
- Pets are charged at $30 each per stay.
Security Deposit
A security deposit/bond of $1000.00 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24–48 hours before your arrival and will automatically expire 2-4 days after departure. Book Now
Notes
- One night stays are available midweek. Weekend one night stays are also available for an additional surcharge.
- Weekend Public Holiday bookings must be a 3-night minimum stay charged at the full weekend daily tariff.
- Easter, Christmas and New Year are a 3 to 4-night minimum stay and charged at the full weekend daily tariff.
- Concert weekends must be a minimum of 10 guests and may attract a surcharge.

Location
Elderslie House is a relaxing two hour drive from Sydney and an hour drive from Newcastle. The Pierres and Fairview vineyards are only a short drive away plus all of the wonderful restaurants and cellar doors on Wine Country Drive and the famous Vintage Golf Course. The local supermarket, butcher, bakeries, cafes and kids’ playgrounds are also nearby, as well as the local golf club, public baths and local pub restaurants such as the award-winning Swill n Grill Restaurant at the Royal Federal Hotel in Branxton, the Tuk Tuk Thai and Aussie Restaurant at the Greta Pub and the Blue Thai Restaurant at Branxton Golf Club.
