Hunter Valley Holiday Homes are perfect for your next special event. Whether it be an intimate wedding, a gathering of family and friends, an elaborate celebratory dinner party, or a professional corporate affair, we’d love to hear from you.
We have hosted hundreds of special celebrations for both young and old. The Lodge will make your special day or weekend a memorable experience that will please everyone.
Celebrations are a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to gather together and celebrate. We have a huge kitchen, (in fact, there are two!) and two of everything else for self-catering – two kitchens, two microwaves, two BBQs and just to be different, we have three ovens and three dishwashers!
We supply all the glassware, platters, cutlery, pots and pans, crockery and every kitchen utensil imaginable. Our kitchen was designed and stocked by a professional chef – bring on MasterChef!
We have a large shade-covered outdoor table on the outside deck to seat 30 guests and our huge purpose-built dining table will make everyone happy. We can also use the games room and set a long table for up to 40 guests or hold a cocktail function.
Arranging a celebration event can be a daunting task especially if you are the organiser. Planning is essential to guarantee the event is a success and that you can sit back and enjoy the occasion.
If you don’t want to do the work then why not try our concierge service (please refer to our Concierge tab) or a local caterer and choose from the range of menu options: cocktail, buffets, barbecues or formal dining. We can customise your catering needs to suit your budget and special dietary requirements while ensuring you celebrate in style! Maybe a 7-course degustation or just a good old barbie, we can work our magic!
If your celebration event does not exceed 30 guests in total (staying or day guests at the property), you are welcome to make your own arrangements. However, you will require a quote from us for guest accommodation. Additionally, you will be required to pay a $35 per person venue fee for any guests attending your event that are not booked to stay at the property. Please note that the maximum number of guests for a self-managed event must not exceed 30 guests.
If the numbers for your event exceed 30 guests (staying or day guests) you will need a wet weather alternative for your guests and also the hire of portable toilets (portaloos). Depending on your final numbers you may also need to use our event management company to handle catering, marquees, decorations, transfers, generators, security, portable coolroom hire, guest transfers, garbage removal and excess cleaning. Please talk to us about your event and we work through what is required.
In both cases, it is vital you are completely transparent at the time of requesting the approval, be clear about;
- Potential maximum number of people you plan to have at the event
- The date and time and duration of the event (We have strict noise restrictions)
- Your wish to make any alterations or decorate the house or move any furniture items
- Any outside services or equipment you would like to have at the property. (They must provide insurances)
Fantastic Property
We had a wonderful 3 days at the property. All our guest were very happy and excited with the house and grounds. It was great to be able to seat everyone around the tables both inside and out. We had a great time in the pool and spa. Our group ranged from 80 (the birthday) girl to 4 months, the youngest great grandchild, and the was something to do for everyone. We had never been to the Hunter Valley before and this was a great place to base ourselves form the weekend. Would certainly visit again.
