Hunter Moon Country House is located on a peaceful 25 acre property in the beautiful Broke Fordwich Wine Region, Hunter Valley, and set against a gorgeous backdrop of the Brokenback Mountain range and vineyards.
This spacious holiday rental home has been custom built for large groups of up to 22 people, decorated with unique and different pieces of artwork from travels around the world, with a stunning location which overlooks a peaceful dam – filled with water lilies and a fountain to give you that zen feeling.
Central air conditioned 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms (4 of which are ensuites), multiple dining options for 22 people and a large spa that can sit 10 -12 under a brilliant starry sky. There’s also an indoor wood burning fireplace, table tennis, outdoor and indoor games, free WiFi and Foxtel, X-box, DVD’s and books in the media room.
Hunter Moon is well located for wedding accommodation if you have an event at Adam’s Peak, Starline Alpaca, Margan or Krinklewood – or for spillover if you need another space to accommodate wedding guests. Only a 15 minute drive to Hunter Valley Gardens and close to all the Hunter has to offer.

Our Facilities
Hunter Moon has wrap-around decks that surround the entire house, giving each room its own individual access / entrance. The deck opens to beautiful gardens including roses, gardenias, azaleas, mandarins, cumquats, bottlebrushes and many more amazing plants and wonderful wildlife. The dining deck looks over a beautiful dam filled with water lilies and lined with red bottle brush.
The spacious kitchen and dining area is fully equipped with 2 fridges, large 90cm oven, 2 dishwashers, Delonghi coffee machine and enough crockery, glassware and cutlery to whip up a feast for 25 people. The outside dining area comes complete with 2 barbecues and an additional bar fridge on the deck. There’s also space for catering if you choose to dine in.
The main living room is set up with all your entertainment needs; Smart TV, Foxtel, Xbox, WIFI, Chromecast, board games and much more.
There are 5 bedrooms in the main house and 3 bathrooms (one which is an ensuite). There are a further 3 bedrooms with ensuites in the extension wing connected by a ramp (disabled friendly).
There’s a large outdoor spa for relaxing and taking in the tranquil surroundings, chill in one of the many hammocks or you can even walk down to the creek at the back of the property to immerse yourself in nature.

midweek rates
- Midweek: minimum of 2 nights, up to 16 guests from $1800 per night (Mon–Thu).
- Midweek – 1 night, up to 16 guests is $3000
Notes
- Occupancy is calculated on 2 or more guests per bedroom.
- Extra guests are charged at $100 per person per night.
- Children under 13 years are charged at $60 per child per night.
- Infants under 2 are free.

Location
Hunter Moon is a two hour drive from Sydney and an hour drive from Newcastle. It is close to Margan, Mount Broke, Nightingales and Magoony’s Café plus all the wonderful cellar doors of Broke – this includes Margan, 1813, Running Horses, Mount Broke, Whispering Brook, Kawal Rock, Winmark Estate, Greenway Wines and Krinklewood. We are 15 mins to Hunter Valley Gardens and many other restaurants and vineyards. Beautiful rural outlook which backs onto the Brokenback Mountain with some lovely walks. Hunter Moon Country House is a fabulous place for all celebrations and good times with your group.
